SkyDOG,I to saw the Stones w/ Steveie Wonder opening at
MSG. I could have sworn it was 71 but it was for shure to promote the Stickey Fingers album. First off I have to say that Stevie Wonder was amazing playing multiple instruments all during his set. As for the Stones, this was my first time seeing them and I thought they were fantastic. They started off w/ Brown Sugar and then rattled off about30 songs in a super tight professional way. There I had no problem w/ the sound but they were using a different lighting set. They had a large mirror that
swiveled w/ the lights behind the stage up to get the reflection down to the band. Also there were a couple of follow spots, but that was the first and only time I ever saw a mirror used for direct lighting not counting the old
mirrored ball at Winterland.
